Mayday!

Occasionally, I do get emotionally/mentally overwhelmed by the ways of man. I do wonder if I'll ever get the chance to go to somewhere like Cambodia to teach English, explore European countryside with no worries that I'm not being 'productive' or 'losing time' as people my age is already half-way up the ladder. Being an Asian, M'sian, Chinese - just makes it alright to work your entire life to support an ideal lifestyle dictated by social standards. And because of this, one will practically never get the chance to wander off the tracks and lose yourself in the woods.

Today at work, I had an audience with the older gentlemen in my department who have always been the most caring and nurturing colleagues. The listened to some of the frustrations I had due to the many restrains of life, and one of my coworkers gave some really good insights and feedback, technically he has 50+ years of experience living, and he could relate to what I'm going through.

My elderly coworker said, "The problem is you've been having all these questions, and talking to yourself, instead of talking to God about it!"

Growing up is definitely not easy. But it is always great to spill it out to a listening ear and get some fresh perspectives!^^
